It prefers
rich, moist soil in full sunlight although is more drought tolerant
than other Picea; very adaptable. Allow spacing for plenty of
air circulation. Avoid planting in a monoculture.
Description:
Commonly
planted tree over past 30yrs, very popular due to its light
bluish gray coloring. Not really suitable for small scale residential
landscape. Best suited for windbreaks, parks, or estates; can
also be used in groupings.
