Description:

Cone-bearing,
deciduous tree with a straight trunk and open, broadly pyramidal
shaped crown, becoming irregular with age. Wispy feather-soft,
needle-like leaves give a delicated fine texture in leaf, and
a medium-coarse texture in winter. |
| Special
Characteristics: |
Very effective
for park and large areas. Use as a specimen or grouping; fall
colors can be excellent, new spring growth is as elegant as
that of any tree. Cones persist into winter and are quite useful
in small craft projects. |
