Description:
|
Delicate
& soft looking bluish gray-green over all color. Flat rounded
end needles that curve upward. Tall and straight trunks, soft
wooded trees with resinous buds. |
| Special
Characteristics: |
The best
fir for the Midwest and East. While withstanding heat, drought
& cold equally well, this species requires less moisture
than other firs and can exist on dry thin layers of barren rocks.
Seems to hold its needles better than any other fir, more tolerant
of city conditions than other fir species. This is a great replacement
for the Colorado Blue Spruce. |
